Of the many many photos from our trip to Joshua Tree, these are the ones that make me happiest. The photos capture Ben and me exploring in our own ways- him leaping up the boulders to terrifying heights, and me staying low, watching the plants and bugs.
Joshua Tree truly felt like another planet. The Joshua Trees were obviously peculiar, but I didn't know there were rocks bigger than huge apartment buildings, and filled with the tiniest lizards I've ever seen. I also had no idea there were bees in the desert, and we narrowly escaped a few swarms (more on that later!) We weren't lucky enough to find any snakes, but the weather turned in our favor: when we got to the park it was about 95, but because there were clouds temperature went down to 85 instead of the expected 105(!!)
There are only of the spots from the first half of the day, pre-peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and bee-swarms. More photos are coming in the next post! Happy Wednesday!
