It's been difficult planning day adventures while we're designing our tiny house, but we managed to sneak away for a day trip to Crater Lake National Park. Those of you who have planned or built your houses must know what I'm going through--SO MANY DETAILS. SO MANY OPTIONS. SO MUCH INTERNET-ING. But we've finally got everything (almost) complete and now we've turned it over to the design company! Here are a few pictures that made me happy from our adventure the other day!
Can you tell Ben is stoked to be in the mountains? It's definitely his natural habitat. We were both incredibly happy.
The park was over 5 hours away (each way) but 100% worth it. We didn't know there would be snow there, and were lucky to be wearing warm coats. We hiked around as far as my frozen toes would allow, and then had some delicious grilled cheeses from the cafe before venturing out again. It was going to snow heavily that night, and by the time we were leaving it was extra frozen and windy. If you live in Oregon this is a good time to go! We didn't have to pay, it was nearly empty, and the snowy views were breathtaking. (PS the North entrance is closed!)
Hope you can get out and find some great adventures near you this week!
