I've been reading Mary Oliver all day and I got reminded of the awesome time Ben and I had at Cape Kiwanda. All I want to do right now is explore a new coast or forrest, but having class in an hour, I will have to reminisce. This was such an awesome experience and it really makes me miss Oregon. Photography by the amazing Briana Morrison!
Here is the second round of photos from our recent trip to Joshua Tree! These were my favorite cacti too see, but unfortunately some thirsty bees were swarming the area and we had to make a quick getaway. Still, it was my favorite trip ever.

Have you ever met someone that is so so bad at confrontation its almost painful to watch? Like hair-pulling stressed out from an email from their boss? Somehow, I became that person.
Over the years I became scared of emails and calls from work. I was terrified of being called into the agency lest my hips have grown an inch instead of shrunk one. I became scared of having conversations with regular people, because I didn’t want anyone to be mad at me, I didn’t want to get yelled at, and I didn’t want to let anyone down. Which is ridiculous, because I intuitively knew I couldn't help someone else's feelings.
Of the many many photos from our trip to Joshua Tree, these are the ones that make me happiest. The photos capture Ben and me exploring in our own ways- him leaping up the boulders to terrifying heights, and me staying low, watching the plants and bugs.
On my 23rd birthday my boyfriend and I drove up to Malibu to explore a new area, and ended up hiking for a few hours at Point Dume State Beach and Preserve. There's nothing better than being outside for a few hours, and the birds-eye view of so many people, sea gulls, and seals made it perfect. It was by far my favorite birthday so far.
